Schneider Electric™ has added a silver glass antimicrobial additive to the masterbatch of its Harmony™ pushbuttons. This antimicrobial additive, which has been registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, is incorporated into the raw material of the pushbuttons. In this way, it maintains its integrity and inhibits the growth of bacteria and microorganisms that cause odors, discoloration, staining, deterioration or corrosion on the surface of the push buttons.
