Holistic cyberprotection

Get to grips with cybersecurity challenges in digitised industries

Digitisation is causing social and economic change on an unprecedented scale. Digitalisation has become indispensable for many industries. But the increasing use of data makes our digital landscape vulnerable. Digitalisation and the increasing networking of machines and industrial systems also increase the risk of cyber attacks. The damage caused by cybercrime runs into billions. Appropriate protective measures are imperative. An approach that covers all levels simultaneously, from operational to field-level and from access control to copy protection, is essential to protect industrial facilities integrally against internal and external cyber attacks.

Total concept according to IEC 62443 standardisation

The increase in horizontal and vertical integration is a key feature of digital enterprises. It is therefore increasingly important to reliably protect productivity and expertise on three levels: plant security, network security and system integrity.

"Defence in depth" offers a multi-layer security concept that provides plants with both all-round and in-depth protection, as recommended by the international industrial standard IEC 62443. It covers all safety-related aspects of Industrial Security for plant operators, integrators and manufacturers.

Physical security and safety management

Factory security uses a number of different methods to prevent unauthorised physical access to critical components, starting from conventional building access to securing vulnerable areas.

Secure communication in industrial networks

One of the key challenges for consistent communication is to also provide adequate protection for easily accessible systems. Besides availability of automation networks, their protection against unauthorised access is also of primary importance. The Siemens security portfolio is optimised for use in automation technology and designed for the special requirements of industrial networks.

Protection of automation systems and control components

Our integrated security functions provide comprehensive protection against unauthorised configuration changes at the control level and against unauthorised network access. They prevent duplication of configuration data and make it easier to detect attempts to manipulate such files. Whether you want to protect existing know-how or exclude unauthorised access to your automation processes and thus prevent disruptions in your production processes, we support you in implementing targeted measures to protect against a variety of threats and design complete solutions for maximum protection.

Stimac - Good technical support for ever-changing specifications
If the description for an automation project is clear from the start, it is easy for the industrial automation specialist to give it substance. In practice, however, specifications often change during the course of a project. This happened to Stimac/SNK when designing the control technology for a horticultural machine. For the problems that arose during the process, itsme quickly provided Stimac/SNK with a solution. “When a customer calls us, we respond immediately. So it’s nice to have a supplier like itsme who can also help immediately.”
