Simplifying the process

Digitisation within panel and machine construction is a well-known accelerator of the various process steps that many companies still perform in a traditional way.

With the online Rittal Configuration System, and without CAD knowledge, the composition can be made intuitively and error-free, including recesses and holes. The determination of the as-built state is done in advance through the digital design – the digital twin – so that the necessary data for the mechanical processing of the switch or control cabinet to be used is already available. The manufacturability check, which has already been carried out, means that the data can therefore be used to carry out those operations: recesses and holes in both the sheet metal work of the cabinet as well as (or perhaps rather) in the mounting plate. This is after all where the most holes are!

All these activities can easily be outsourced to Rittal Modification Service. If your engineering is done with EPLAN Pro Panel, in addition to the mechanical operations described above, you can carry out the wiring of the panel digitally, but also the wiring assembly can be well prepared and error-free. The first steps towards a better lead time have therefore been taken.

Reducing lead times

With the online Modification Service calculation tool, you can calculate the costs for making the necessary recesses and holes yourself. You can answer the question “What does it cost?” yourself. This prevents unnecessary waiting. You know exactly what the cost price is and its impact on the subsequent calculation, with any failure costs carried by Rittal Modification Service.

With up-to-date machinery, including Rittal Perforex Laser Cutters, operated by professionals, we can combine speed with high quality at a competitive price. With this delivery time you can seamlessly connect the delivery with your planning. The employees trained to build the panel can get started right away; any damage caused by mechanical processing yourself is excluded, which also shortens your time-to-market. You can therefore focus your attention on the other process steps, just like your many colleagues who are already using Rittal Modification Service.

Do you have repeating specials? Then contact your itsme office and make conclusive agreements, so that you always have the right materials at your disposal. Because the finished cabinet is delivered just-in-time, your time-to-market can be reliably shortened.
