Relays are used in industrial automation and the process industry for all kinds of switching applications. With many connection points per relay, they have a great influence on the wiring time during installation. The working time is largely determined by the connection technology. When it comes to relay bases, we distinguish three types: screw terminal connection, spring clamp connection and push-in spring clamp connection.
Push-in spring clamp connection builds on traditional spring clamp technology but is even more efficient. The big difference is that this solution does not need a screwdriver to connect the wiring. This provides a significant time saving and results in 60% less wiring time compared to installation with screw terminal connection.
To exploit this advantage, Schneider Electric introduces a new range of relay feet with push-in spring clamp connection. The new range of Harmony plug-in relays offers machine builders and panel builders, in addition to faster installation time, the following advantages:
The new plug-in relay feet can be applied to Schneider Electric's RXG, RXM and RSB series and are also easy to combine with relays from other manufacturers because the width dimensions are the same.

- Time saving thanks to pre-assembled terminals
- Fast and flexible connection between components with 2-pole jumper
- Easy-to-reach test points
- Easy installation with different types of wiring (AWG20-16/0.5-1.5mm2)
- Easy disconnecting of the wiring by green button
- Improved clamping performance with movement and vibration (maximum traction 223 newton)

Stimac - Good technical support for ever-changing specificationsRead moreIf the description for an automation project is clear from the start, it is easy for the industrial automation specialist to give it substance. In practice, however, specifications often change during the course of a project. This happened to Stimac/SNK when designing the control technology for a horticultural machine. For the problems that arose during the process, itsme quickly provided Stimac/SNK with a solution. “When a customer calls us, we respond immediately. So it’s nice to have a supplier like itsme who can also help immediately.”
