New: pushing cables through gel

LAPP has a long tradition in cable bushing systems. From the standard polyamide SKINTOP® cable gland and high-end stainless steel versions to multi-cable bushing systems. Now there is the SKINTOP® MULTI-M that was launched after an intensive process of brainstorming, designing and testing.

The SKINTOP® MULTI-M multi-cable bushing system with metric thread is currently the most innovative cable entry system available on the market worldwide. The number of cables per unit area achieved with this system is many times higher than with individual cable runs. Depending on the size, up to 30 conduits (wire, cables, hoses) can be routed in a space-saving housing.

The innovation is based on a special gel technology, where the cables are simply pushed through the elastic gel insert and held firmly in place by the adhesion of the gel to the cable sheath. The minimum IP class is IP66 (water and dust-tight), so suitable in most industrial applications. The patented funnel geometry allows the clamping range to be increased by up to 4 mm. Another advantage is the compact design of the SKINTOP® MULTI-M, which enables space-saving cable configuration. Unused entry points remain permanently sealed. UL certification also makes it suitable for the North American market.

The SKINTOP® MULTI-M consists of a polycarbonate shell with a gel insert as sealing component. It is the perfect combination of high gasket density and maximum sealing.
