Push-X from Phoenix Contact - the new X-perience of wiring

An innovation from Phoenix Contact

A new concept in wire connection without tools: Push-X serves all types of wires in direct wiring without tools or significant force.

The most important part of this new technology is a preloaded contact spring. The principle enables the connection of solid and flexible conductors with or without conductor end sleeves. Even the smallest, flexible cores make the connection. The conductor effortlessly makes contact by a light tap on the release surface at the end of the clamping chamber. Tapping releases the mechanism and the conductor makes contact in a flash and permanently.

As with Push-in technology, conductors can be released by pressing the orange control button. At the same time as the conductor is released, the contact spring is pre-tensioned for a new wiring process.

The XT terminals are the first terminals with frontal Push-X connection. The frontal conductor connection allows users to connect the system conveniently and easily. The XT terminal blocks are first available in the nominal cross-section 2.5 mm². The program consists of feed-through, multicore and multilayer terminals as well as blade separation terminals and separation base terminals.

Since the connection terminals belong to the CLIPLINE complete terminal system, the disconnect base terminals can be fitted with various function connectors, such as fuses, construction elements or disconnect knives.

XTV terminal blocks are available in nominal cross sections of 6, 10 and 16 mm², allowing you to effortlessly connect conductor cross sections between 1.5 and 25 mm².

Because of the large conductor cross sections, a side connection (V = vertical) was chosen for the XTV terminal blocks. Backgrounds are the bending radii that occur when connecting. Since larger conductor cross sections, such as 16 mm² cores, are more difficult to bend, the side connection makes cabling easier. In addition, the XTV terminal blocks complement the range of spring terminal blocks with side connection. Phoenix Contact thus enables the continuous lateral spring connection of conductor cross sections between 0.14 (PTV) and 185 mm² (PTPOWER).

Phoenix Contact - Increase cybersecurity of machines and installations
The benefits of network connectivity, such as increased productivity and flexibility, are obvious. But unfortunately, this also creates more and more potential attack targets for all kinds of cyber attacks. Cybercriminals repeatedly manage to exploit new vulnerabilities to gain unauthorised access to machines and facilities, for example. That is why governments are introducing new (additional) cyber security legislation. In doing so, they set ambitious goals.

Eneco - Green light for green electricity and steam
Eneco Bio Golden Raand, located in the port area of Delfzijl, converts biomass into green electricity and green steam. Each year, the plant processes approximately 300,000 tons of waste wood from the Netherlands and neighboring countries. As part of Eneco’s climate ambitions, a project began in 2022 to replace the existing fluorescent lighting in and around the boiler room. The project was carried out under the supervision of itsme. “Two factors were important in this process: the cost, of course, but also the level of service.”
