That sounds safe

Pilz Launches door handle module with an integrated escape release

The PSENmlock door handle module gives you a handle with an integrated actuator and an integrated escape release – perfect for the safety gate system PSENmlock. The yellow handle (outside) enables extension of the actuator to open or close the gate.

The escape release is operated with the red handle (inside). The PSENmlock door handle module is suitable for fitting on the inside and the outside of the gate as well as for right-hinged and left-hinged gates. It has a locking insert for up to five locks to prevent the machine from restarting and can be used with the coded and fully coded PSENmlock switches.

Safe interlocking and safe guard locking in one product!

The safety gate system PSENmlock offers safe interlocking and safe guard locking for personal and process protection up to the highest category PL e.

Safe guard locking is possible because the guard locking device has dual-channel operation. As such, the switch is particularly suitable for use on machines with a hazardous overrun that also require safe guard locking up to PL d or PL e. In conjunction with Pilz control technology, you get a safe complete solution for monitoring and activating guard locking for guards.

    Simplifying the process
Digitisation within panel and machine construction is a well-known accelerator of the various process steps that many companies still perform in a traditional way. With the online Rittal Configuration System, and without CAD knowledge, the composition can be made intuitively and error-free, including recesses and holes. The determination of the as-built state is done in advance through the digital design – the digital twin – so that the necessary data for the mechanical processing of the switch or control cabinet to be used is already available.

    The fluorescent tube goes out!
The most striking measure is the phasing out of obsolete fluorescent lamps, such as T2, T8 and T12 (popularly known as TL tubes). Also notable is the phasing out of halogen lamps and compact fluorescent lamps (popularly known as low-energy lamps). These lighting sources must be replaced because they are not energy-efficient and because there are sufficient energy-efficient alternatives on the market. With this measure, the commission aims to save almost 42 TWh in 2030.

    You'd rather know in advance
Components of an automation system are normally used for a very long time during their life cycle. It is therefore questionable whether the component is still available in the event of failure. It is therefore important to manage the life cycle proactively. Timely information about the availability of spare parts, for example, is one of the most important planning criteria here.

    From canal to tap
No less than 4 billion litres of drinking water per year. With this capacity, the brand new water treatment plant of Farys, the drinking water company, can, in the first phase, supply the Flemish municipalities of Ostend and Middelkerke. Due to an innovative technique that makes brackish water suitable for consumption, ‘draining water to the sea’ is no longer the norm for this coastal region. The complete electrical installation and instrumentation was designed and executed by Digi-Flow. Partner itsme Breemes assisted them with technical product know-how.

    Grip on your production process
Although the provisioning of care homes is often well organised, on the flip side there is sometimes still room for improvement, especially where hygiene processes are concerned. With that in mind, Jop van Haaren, director and owner of Less2Care from Raalte, set out to work ten years ago. The result? The VacuSan: an automated solution for the safe vacuum sealing and disposal of used incontinence materials. The electronic parts of the operating system are delivered as a kit – a customer-specific package – by itsme. “As a customer you don’t need to worry about it anymore.”
