A tough guy who thinks for himself

Safe protection zone monitoring can also be used for robotic applications

For safe protection zone monitor in rugged conditions such as dust, dirt, rain, light, sparks or vibrations, the safe radar sensor PSENradar, in conjunction with the configurable small controller PNOZmulti 2, offers the optimum solution: in addition to outdoor applications and areas in woodworking and metalworking, it is now also possible to safeguard robot applications because the solution achieves a higher category Cat. 3 / PL d.

The new radar sensors PSEN rd1.2 and the new analysing unit PSEN rd1.x I/O PN are available for this purpose. What’s more, the self-teaching background function ensures that changes can be made within the warning or protection zone during operation, without the need for a new configuration. Benefit from higher availability as a result.

The safe radar system, in conjunction with the configurable small controller PNOZmulti 2, offers a safe, complete solution for protection zone monitoring – including conformity assessment. Additional interfaces such as Ethernet and Profisafe also mean that it is easy to use in retrofit applications for example.

The advantages:

  • Higher category Cat. 3 / PL d enables robotic applications to be safeguarded
  • High flexibility thanks to optimised sensor alignment and individual protection zone configuration
  • Open to retrofit applications thanks to additional interfaces
  • One-stop shop: Complete solution including conformity assessment
