Rittal - Choose Smart: Discover the Ideal Wall Enclosure - AX vs. KX Sheet Steel Version!

Explore the perfect wall enclosure for your needs - the AX and KX sheet steel versions! But when do you choose which enclosure?

The choice between AX and KX depends on your specific requirements. If you desire a wide range of dimensions and accessories, the AX series is the ideal option. The 25mm system grid in combination with the rail interior offers endless mounting possibilities. A notable feature is the bottom rail for interior mounting without drilling. The AX enclosure excels in versatile system accessories such as door hinges, cable entry options, cable routing on the door side, sloping roof, lifting eyes, swivel frame, lighting, and multiple cable entry options. The standard mounting plate ensures easy installation and equipotential bonding, and the use of the pedestal system, similar to Rittal's VX25 cabinet system, provides additional flexibility.

On the other hand, the KX series is ideal for those seeking a more compact and less complicated enclosure. Available with or without a gland plate and standard-equipped with a convenient mini quarter-turn latch for easy access.

But that's not all! For those who want the best of both worlds, we have the KX E-box. This variant combines the best of AX and KX with a standard mounting plate like the AX and the double-bit quarter-turn latch of the AX, while retaining the same versatile mounting options as the KX. Additionally, the KX E-box features a convenient 180° hinge for effortless access.

Regardless of your choice, both enclosures offer excellent protection ratings, such as IP66 (IEC60529) and NEMA 4/4X (UL508A), ensuring your equipment is safeguarded against dust and powerful water jets. In summary, our wall enclosures are designed to meet all your needs, whether you want to set up an extensive system (AX) or seek a more compact solution (KX). Make your choice today and rely on the reliability of our wall enclosures for optimal performance of your electronic components and equipment.
