nVent ERIFLEX Advanced Technology
Advanced Technology from nVent ERIFLEX offers the most unique, safe and flexible solution for electrical conductors, setting a new gold standard in the electrical market by providing this unique high-strength insulation: low-smoke, halogen-free and flame-retardant.
This makes nVent ERIFLEX Flexibar Advanced as well as nVent ERIFLEX IBS/IBSB Advanced conductors highly ingenious alternative to cable. Improved reliability results from direct connection without a cable lug and thus excellent vibration resistance.
The copper current conductors are tinned, making them suitable for high-temperature conditions, resulting in a higher level of safety for the electrical equipment as well as for people during installation as well as during operation.
Compared to cable, weight and space are saved as the conductors can be bent, folded or twisted with a very small bending radius for shorter and more compact power connections compared to traditional rails. Cams are unnecessary, reducing installation time and improving resistance to vibration.
In this way, the nVent ERIFLEX Advanced conductor significantly improves design and installation flexibility, as well as the aesthetics of finished panels. Logically, the reduced installation time results in lower installation costs.
Advantages of nVent ERIFLEX Advanced Technology:
- Direct connection without terminal lug: improved reliability and excellent vibration resistance.
- Tinned Copper: suitable for high temperatures, increases the safety of electrical equipment and users.
- Space and weight saving: flexible conductors can be bent, folded or twisted, resulting in more compact and shorter power connections.
- Faster installation: redundant lugs and improved vibration resistance shorten installation time and reduce installation costs.
- Improved design and assembly flexibility: Improves the aesthetics of finished panels and offers significant design freedom.
Product characteristics of nVent ERIFLEX Advanced Current Conductors:
- Material: thin layers of tinned electrolytic copper
- Range: from 19.5 mm² to 1200 mm² and 125 A to 2800 A
- Insulation: high Ohmic, halogen-free, flame-retardant and low-smoke material with less than 20% conductor contact for high flexibility
- Mounting: easy to bend, fold and twist, improving mounting flexibility and reducing footprint
- Power density: better than cable
- Connections: punch directly through the copper laminates and clamp with bolts or clamp to the end of the Flexibar
- Traceability: traceability codes and part numbers printed on the insulation
- Certification: meets NF EN 45545 with HL3 rating for R22 and R23 chapters, 100% production dielectric tested, RoHS compliant
- Compatibility: tinned copper allows connections to copper or aluminium
- Colour options: can be manufactured in other colours on request (usually orange for battery connections)
- Vibration resistance: Complies with ISO 6469-1 Section 6.2.2 for electrically driven road vehicles

Avebe - A Good Night’s Sleep Thanks to FactoryScanRead moreCompanies often have no clear idea of the installed base of industrial automation in their factories and warehouses. With FactoryScan, itsme can provide an overview of the current status of automation components such as PLCs. Potato processor Royal Avebe uses the results to update their component stock and assess future availability. The scan is intended to reduce the number of hardware-related disruptions Process Control Engineer Johan Wierenga has to deal with. It also helps him sleep better, knowing the stock is up to date.
