Siemens Step 5


STEP 5 is the programming software for the programmable logic controllers Simatic S5 from Siemens. Siemens discontinued this software on October 1, 2005, as the Simatic S5 is no longer being developed. S5 is being followed-up by Simatic S7 with the STEP 7 programming software.
With STEP 5, user programs can be created for all Simatic S5 programmable controllers.

The aim of this course is to enable the participants to understand the structure and operation of an S5 PLC and to create and test simple links with the STEP 5 programming software. You will expand your hardware and software troubleshooting skills and learn how to troubleshoot. Another focus of the course is to strengthen your skills to modify an existing program and deepen your theoretical knowledge. After this training, you will be able to track down and eliminate errors.
